I was waiting on Garret Hostel Bridge for Rachel to come by when the sun slipped out from behind a very black cloud and briefly lit up this flotilla of punts. I was so busy trying to capture the scene that I nearly missed Rachel approaching from behind but I did catch some lovely pics of her with her cheerful group of Chinese teenagers. On instruction they all did the V for victory (not the 'other' one) which is a prerequisite for all photos if you're a teenager from China. I don't suppose Rachel was looking quite so happy 10 minutes earlier when it was thundering or half an hour later when it was raining so hard that Monty set up a rolling growl to see it off. And it's at it again...
Three good things:
1. The nice group of people including a traffic warden and coach driver who were looking after a young lad who had fallen off his bike until the ambulance arrived.
2. He was sitting up and on the phone so his head was obviously OK- other bits (leg in this case) will mend - in typical teenage boy style he wasn't wearing a helmet so he was lucky.
3. My mum's 80th party tomorrow - looks like the weather won't play ball but it will be lovely to see the family.
Super shot with those brollies - Happy Birthday to your Mum for tomorrow. I hope you all have a good family time. My Mum had a ball for her 80th - she made it last a week with multiple parties/meals out.
Fantastic shot Judith but I loved the other one best...come on & I will fave it...Rachel looked so lovely & happy!
Great view of the happy holiday makers plus umbrellas, this makes a very interesting Cambridge photo...fave!
