I wanted to go to the Craft Market in town this morning so Nigel dropped me off on The Backs after Adam's hockey game (8-0 win) and I flashed my college card to be allowed to walk through King's. It's been an odd day with clouds around the horizon just allowing a weak sun through but for my pretty walk the sun came out and the deep blue sky made the river turn a luscious colour. The bridge that allows dogs that I normally take photos from is just seen behind Clare Bridge. The Silent Bridge is so named because the choir boys are not allowed to speak once they've passed over it on their way into the chapel.
Dreadful news from Glasgow overnight - thinking about our Scottish brothers and sisters on St Andrew's Day.
3 GT:
1. A bit of decent light has given me a few shots for later.
2. Some beautiful surroundings to walk through.
3. Rachel home in about an hour - not for long but I'm excited.
They punt all the year round...a perfect winter treat....they look happy! Beautiful composition of punt, still waters but a ripple & then the interesting bridge in the back ground. I don't like either of my photos today...a stunning sunset tonight but then I am sick of sunsets!
Have fun...all your family together.
Lydia has got an interview for Birmingham so back again on the train!
Beautiful atmosphere and composition! I so wish we could make it to Cambridge in March :( and this picture makes me long for it even more. We must come back when Little J is bigger!
I had no idea about the helicopter crash until I read his, such a tragedy!
