This is the reason I nearly cut my finger off. I don't even like the stuff. It looks quite nice though.
My neighbour's office is on it's way up. If the roof isn't too high it may not be too bad from our side. Way over-sized for the part of his garden that it's in though - he'll have to squeeze past the corner of it. Shame really - if he'd put it at the bottom of the garden facing up it would be very nice. It was a lovely dappled fairytale garden when Hazel (our beloved neighbour who died 12 years or so ago) had it - shame it's being so unsympathetically 'developed'.
Three GT:
1. Nigel says he likes the marmalade - a very good thing - there are about 8 jars.
2. Managed to tick off a few jobs today - shame so many others have appeared.
3. Apparently there's a Celebrity Bake Off in the offing.
Celeb bake off was fun, although Jo Brand looked like she was wearing a watermelon skin. I have still got a load of last year's marmalade left. I always do loads and it lasts a couple of years. It's a real faff of a job isn't it?
@jantan I did half the job before going to the cinema (only bought half the jam so had to go out for more) and finished it after the cinema, while running in and out to watch Sherlock and it's a bit runny as a result. I took a jar to my friend this afternoon who tried to look pleased before confessing that her husband always makes loads - I bet everybody has jars of the stuff!
I LOVE marmalade and your looks lovely! Now I'm going to confess that I made last year's with a tin of Mamade oranges. I suppose the seville oranges are in the shops so..................
This marmalade looks positively magical. Wonderful shot with beautiful lighting. And a very good thing that Nigel is a fan of your marmalade. :)So sorry there is unwanted construction going on in your neighbor's garden...I hope the structure-in-progress is aesthetically acceptable when it's finished.
@judithg That TV with his food factory in a shed did try to make some once but it didn't look right. Have you ever beaten it to make it go white? I think I did that experiment once while trying to write up my PhD...
I have recorded the bake off as our friends have only just gone....lovely marmalade it reminds me of the lovely lunch you, @sparkle & me in our London meet up! You are very industrious!!
Some people can't see past their noses ....he could have made a lovely garden room at the bottom....you have a lovely long garden so presume his is similar but as long as it isn't impinging on your outlook ...small mercies!
Well I think this looks superb, not a quick job making marmalade. I have given up slicing oranges now and use marmade orange pulp. May add a bit of orange if I feel like stamping my mark. Bet this is delicious. Love the way you have presented this shot, with the light shining through.
Love this photo and I've enjoyed catching up a bit - been too hectic at work but must make myself the time to keep peeping and posting in here! Hope you're successful with the fasting diet. I'm going to try from Mon 20th after my birthday!!

Nicely backlit marmalade but I would still rather have marmite.
