More dreadful weather around the country. Chocolate can't cure everything but it helps. My friend Sandra was given these chocolates as a thank you for the talk she did on Monday night and she didn't want to eat them all or take them to Egypt so they were donated to us. It turns out that they are really very beautiful. I sort of promised them to Adam after he had a really rubbish day on Monday so I hope he doesn't mind that I opened them when my neighbour called round :0/
Three GT:
1. Outpouring of help for flood victims eg The Fens in East Anglia are below sea level so the land has got to be properly drained and managed and it is coping better than a lot of places. The farmers here have donated tonnes of sugar beet and turnips etc to the West Country farmers who are struggling to feed their livestock.
2. My neighbour called round just when I was thinking she wasn't in and I need to catch her to ask her to feed the cat and hens next week - and her heating is off for plumbing work so she was very glad to warm up.
3. I seem to have properly lost 4lb since Christmas - if I can shed another 3 I'll be happy - no more chocolates!
I can drool over virtual chocolate and haven't had one morsel since January 3rd..... ! At least the hardship is showing on the scales! Delicious, mouthwatering image and you are right about the weather.....
beautiful focus and composition of this shot - they do look yummy
(I've had two weeks of bugs various and decided I had to be nice to students, so stopped 5:2ing - couldn't manage fasting and feeling awful and the calmness I need with the challenging kids I work with - but it noticeably worked for me, so I need to get back on it after half term)
Chocolate works for me...every time. Delightful image! So very sorry about the dreadful time the weather is dealing your part of the planet. Farmers are always the hardest hit and the first to lend a helping hand.
I love your focus. They do look good. I'm trying not to eat too much chocolate but I have so much left from Christmas I'm treating myself a little at a time :o) xx
