There is a light festival on in Cambridge this week so Nigel and I walked down last night to have a look (well primarily to give me chance to get the camera out). Quite a few things have been blown/rained off but the Wilkins Screens either side of the gate of King's College are 'working'. The colours change into rainbows. I think these screens are really pretty but they tend to be dominate by the gate and the chapel - both of which were pitch dark.
This is a filler so I will put a 'today' shot in Extras so as not to break my rule for 2014.
Three GT:
1. A gold medal for GB - they've just done a run down and GB has hardly won any winter olympic gold medals - not surprising given that we don't have much snow and have hardly any ice rinks. We did win a rather polite looking ice hockey final against Canada in 1936 though...
2. I went out and about this morning before the weather turned characteristically hideous.
3. A catch up with Rebecca over a cup of coffee (which was like mud - sorry!) instead of a rainy dog walk. Monty was very excited to have a visitor.
This looks like the front of a huge mansion near us where the multi millionaire lottery winners live (126,000,000). Theymhave some sort of light arrangement going on - tasteful! Fine for a light festival, this I approve of x
This looks rather nice. Was reading in genuine consternation that It was from the night before though (I like rules, me) so was relieved* there's an extras shot.
*actually true. I need to get out more.
