Bit of a long slow trek down to Sussex yesterday seeing as the M25 really isn't fit for purpose again. But it was a glorious day to be down there and I nearly drove off the road looking at the gorgeous view from the Downs. Fab seeing my sister and family and Mum and Dad and definitely need longer than a day trip next time. Somehow not a lot of time for photos though - and the day was so bright that I couldn't check what I'd taken in the screen. I've been reading about diagonals in composition - not sure if this is what they mean though.
Three GT:
1. Cataract number one successfully sorted for mum.
2. Blue skies.
3. The white van that stormed up behind me in the 50mph approach to the Dartford Tunnel so that I ended up pulling over into a lane I didn't want to be in immediately got flashed by the speed camera :0)
Oh don't you love divine justice?! This may not be technically diagonal, but it's good in that you've got great repetition going on, with little things to break the pattern - and the crane at the end as a visual reward. Fav'd
There is something so timeless and classic about beach huts! I used to have one on Southend beach when my children were little, they were some of the happiest days for sure!
I love the leading line in this picture. It might not be a true diagonal, but it works extremely well. I really like the white painted walls and the pink trim as a spot of color every so often. Wonderful capture!
