So my Annapolis friend is over in a London on business and e-mailed me to say would I like to go and see 'Handbagged' with her. Obviously I hesitated for about 5 seconds before replying that I would but then slightly regretted it as she then told me it was in a theatre a good long tube ride from King's Cross and I had visions of the super slow, stops everywhere last train. Luckily, while I was simultaneously bragging/bemoaning this to Rebecca on our doggy jaunt yesterday she mentioned that we had both met one of the actresses at her mum's garden party and we agreed that it would be a great idea to wave at her at a critical point in the show :0). So not wanting too sound to negative when forewarning Sandra that I'd have to make a dash for it I looked up the actresses so that I could remember her name (R & I both being too aged to remember it properly) and drop it into the e-mail. I was slightly confused to see that all the sites referred to the play being at the Vaudeville so I called the box office to confirm. And hurrah! It had indeed moved to The Strand. So time for a proper catch and dinner before the play which was a lot of fun. Young Margaret Thatcher was scarily good. There was a thunderstorm passing up the country and it absolutely lashed it down. Hence huge puddle outside the Vaudeville.
Three GT:
1. I'm still just about fit enough to run for trains and caught earlier ones by seconds in both directions.
2. I was on the train when the thunderstorm reached me.
3. Friends

Oh the bliss of being able to nip down to London.......it costs so much on the train from here...really struggling to get a decent price for June
Fabulous photo Judith....love the colour & busyness & reflections .......I presume the crowd is avoiding the puddle & not queuing for something.
So your stars truck cosying up paid dividends in the end......if you hadn't wanted to check the actresses name you would have tracked across London for nothing! Narrow escape....fave btw.
