I was sitting on a bench in the sunshine this afternoon when I noticed a beautiful male blue dragonfly hanging vertically downwards from my neighbour's plum tree. Closer inspection revealed the female in a more traditional pose.
Nigel's dad is staying at the moment so we walked over from Cambourne to Bourn for lunch which was very nice (a bit longer than Monty is used to of late) but they wouldn't let us put the umbrellas up because there was a slight breeze and now my eyes are feeling strained - must wear my not quite the right prescription sunglasses more often.
Another crazy night of stressed out barking dog - this time due to torrential rain. At 12.45 am I was suddenly inspired to shut him in the lounge where you couldn't tell it was raining. Having worn himself out he slept until morning.
I have never seen any dragon flies...we are deprived here!
Spot on focus!
Poor Monty I know how he feels, I would like to bark all night. Terrible when you can't sleep & everyone else is miles away!
(we had torrential rain overnight too - very noisy it was)
