Well I did say I was struggling with a photo a day... The two little eggs are from my new hen(s) - I hope only one as with a bit of luck the Chestnut hen (now called Conker as suggested by my mum!) will lay nice dark brown eggs. The other is Waitrose's best - added just so you can see how cute the little ones are...
Three GT:
1. A productive meeting this morning.
2. I cycled to Histon for lunch and stuck to veg soup.
3. I got a new jumper in the Boden sale and it's a fab colour (until I wash it - it's why I haven't bought a Boden jumper in a long time).
I have 3 hens and often have to supplement with shop bought but I hate looking at the 'stamps' on the eggs. We did a blind taste once and home laid won hands down!
Forty per cent off sale.....I am waiting for Jo to look at the trousers, if she doesn't hurry they will all be gone! Lovely eggs....they will have very hard shells!
I instantly thought this must be yours when I saw it. They look really nice! I've always loved the shape of eggs and this picture presents them very well!
I remember with my small eggs (well, the hens) that the yolk was just the same size as a huge eggs! The big one have more whites. I also had a hen who laid blue eggs so will be really keen to see these dark eggs!
This would grace a baking page in a magazine! Good luck with the egg production. Good result on the Bake-off although I did think one of the guys would win.
How wonderful, fresh organic eggs! Yes, this photo a day lark is very demanding... I'm strictly only posting a photo taken on that day, so am making it tough too!
