Two up two down

I multi-tasked on my dog walk today and went shopping for socks! White Stuff are very dog friendly and fed Monty dog biscuits while I chose (though I got the evils from a customer). Adam has been squeezing his size 11 feet into my socks and it drives me mad - so now he has his own (same type as mine - we haven't been denying him socks altogether for 18 years). There is a house we walk past that has several cats - this one made me scramble to get the camera out because he had two legs on the gate and two on the fence and looked hilarious. Needless to say when he saw Monty he changed position but still wins for my shot today (over a rather beautiful leaf). His brother, a ginger tom came up and had a chat with Monty at very close quarters.
Quite a productive day - three Christmas presents ordered, shelves finished and put back (and books re-loaded), accounts ready to finish (apart from VAT return - I've gone wrong with the new software and need the accountant to get back to his office), I've done most of the calendar and I've made a whole load of family tree progress. I have tracked down my 'black sheep' ancestor - he'd run off with another woman. My great grandmother (his daughter) was living with his mother for a while (and not in the workhouse as we feared). And it turns out that a very successful engineer/sweet maker whose business is still flourishing (they make Flumps) was his younger brother. Obviously we are descended from the abandoned, poverty-stricken side not the rich side.
That cat looks within a nano second of leaping away...love the intense stare at your dog.

What a perfect capture - he looks kind of caught in the act ;). That family tree business sounds really interesting. I should try to do that before my grandmothers die and their memories with them.

@jannaellen oh definitely - get them to identify photos and better still make some tapes - wish we had done that with ours.
