Well a much dryer and brighter day than yesterday but the first proper chill. Little lumps of ice were chinking in the hen's water this morning and a frost - I think maybe only the second one of 2014! I went out and did a lot of shopping this morning and rapidly realised that I'm not a natural and was grumpy by the end. Not helped by setting the alarms off every time I went in a shop and having to get my bags checked - I think may be it is a 'key find' tag that Nigel bought me. It doesn't work for finding my keys but it does set alarms off! Anyway time for a quick jaunt with Rebecca and the discovery of some tiny mushrooms on a wall before heading back out again with a list of items Adam wants for his art course work. He internet searches for the cheapest, I go out to buy them, can't find them where he says they should be and end up spending four times as much in desperation.
Out to get him from hockey training later - oh how I love going out at 9pm on a dark winter night to collect the stinkiest socks and shin pads ever attached to a boy...
A busy day Judith...you never stop!! Lovely tiny mushrooms...they are delightful. The turquoise line down the side really shines too...not sure what it is but looks nice.poor you going out from warm house......Cathy & Lydia have been all evening after pilloxing so late commenting.
What a splendid image - they look so much better than all my shroom captures - love all the detail! Loved your comment about hockey, too. Thank god I have only girls ... but I bet J will grow up to be a soccer player or something and stink up her own clothes in her time...
Wonderful close up
