I intended getting up early to take Adam to school for a trip to Bedford School for the Indoor Hockey East Rounds and stopping off to do something amazing and atmospheric on the way home. However having got up to take Monty out at 3am and again at 5.30 with essentially no sleep in between I was easily persuaded at 6.30 to stay in bed and let Nigel go. And he said it WAS amazing and atmospheric :0(. So we didn't go out till after karate when the sun had disappeared and everything was a bit dull. The tablets Monty is on are clearly causing problems but he is very chipper on his walks which makes me think the steroids are, as a side effect, making his neck more comfortable. So what to do?? Maybe try some different ones...
Good news - Adam's team are through to the finals!. Bad news - it clashes with a big gathering of family and old friends who are coming over to celebrate our silver wedding - some of whom we last saw at the wedding. So Adam will miss the party and we will miss the competition c'est la vie eh?
It all sounds a bit if a nightmare Judith! How long can you goon getting up at all hours......poor Monty & you both! He won't telish having to go out in the Middle of the night & wait until the weather gets really cold! Sorry I am not very cheering....perhaps a talk with the vet, he might try a different tablet.
Indeed bad timing re party & hockey......but neither can miss their event so as you say that is life.
All these little problems are nicely illustrated by your trapped photo....beautiful pinky shades.
I do agree with @happypat about Monty - he can't tell you how he feels and the vet doesn't know unless you tell him. Not normal. Change the medication. A silver wedding coming up, eh? Congratulations!
