Back Alley

I once promised @peggysirk that I would post some Cambridge garbage so when I saw this alleyway I couldn't resist. I think it's really pretty despite the dustbins. I've messed and messed with the cropping and still can't decide whether I should have left more of the pic in or, indeed, have gone for letterboxing to bring out the flowers... probably not worth agonising over a back alley...

Looks like a pretty neat and tidy back alley to me. There's one thing you would know if you put the wrong bin out!

brilliant Judith, it's amazing how photography works....who'd have thought that we could get a shot from a back alleyway of wheelie bins :) ......

I'm going to 'fave' it ....'faving' a picture of wheelie bins...oh dear !!!!

I tried to count the bins but lost count !!!

Composition is perfect. It might work in B/W with 'colour popping' on the red flowers

Yes, they look nice with the shadow, repetitive pattern! I like the perspective and crop. Same bins here, but we don't keep them outside the houses. Or was it the day they were being emptied?

@scatcat These are out all the time because this is the 'back alley' - they'll be moved to the front of the houses on collection day. Having all these bins causes problems for people without much space.
