Gown and Town

Better crop I think as suggested by @rich57 - thanks! I hadn't tried a close in square crop which works better than rectangular - and I've processed it so much that the dodgy focus isn't so obvious!
Haha nice! I think it is a bit better like this cos the guy in the gown is more prominent and I'd say he's the definite
main point of interest here!

And he has an "interesting" walk.

But set off with a great street background, especially that little church.

I agree. And it's another lovely shot.

@fueast So you don't strut through Leeds in yours then?! I must say the mortar board was a good touch even for Cambridge

@judithg No! On and off for graduations only. Shake a few parents hands and done. Plus ours has a silly floppy hat that looks even more stupid.

Typical Cambridge street scene,so much going on nice shot Judith

It does make him more the focal point but I prefer the first one as it shows the man in the wider sense as an isolated figure in a mortar board in the middle of a Cambridge street !

Love this crop - it definitely draws the eye more. well done.

Great shot Judith. That's how I would have cropped it, as it keeps the key items of interest while removing some of the less interesting features (= lampost).

i like the post processing Judith....gives it a retro feeling
