In all honesty, I found very little pleasure in photographing the grand scale iconic scenes of the American West that millions of people have seen and already photographed. I had more fun just gaping in wonder. Photos are so pitifully inadequate.
I know that feeling well! I've mostly stopped trying to bother with landscape shots in Teton and Yellowstone. There's just something about those places... they're too big for my lens!
I know the feeling of inadequacy when faced with some of these vast landscapes. We are currently in Norway, and I feel like that when gazing at some of the vistas. This is a great shot Julie.
