Actually this is not Alf, Alf was the original owner of the business 85 years ago and this guy took it over 31 years ago... I was trying to take a sneaky shot through the window and he saw me, and came to invite me in. we had a great chat. I asked if i could take his picture and he asked what I would do with it, i couldnt be bothered explaining so I said i was too shy... this was a sneaky shot i took going in the store... I like it.
If I were him I would be seriously intrigued by someone telling me they were too shy to tell me what they were going to do with my picture. I like this shot, though.
@vignouse@beluga@tristansmum@altadc@overalvandaan@rexcomu@tracys@kerosene@ltodd@kandkids@annied@thresheg@susale@adayinmallacoota@francoise thankyou all, I saw "Alf" on the weekend, same clothes but casual bright fluorescent green shoes !!! the man has style lol. shops like this are dying out, he says noone would buy it so he keeps it going, reads the paper and does the crossword as its never busy. . His wife does tailoring , alterations and mending, the jeweller down the street is in a similar situation, whe he tried to sell up or close down the community was in an uproar so he loyally kept the shop, once these gents retire for real though it will be an end of an era.
