if I look up edge cut, I just find cutting edge and I'm sure that is not what I am aiming at this week. Whatever it is, looks like you have nailed it already. This is lovely.

as i understand it Helen you just want the sun to be slightly obscured so the rays appear, like a partial starburst @helenhall

thanks Kali. I think I'm understanding it know - you need an edge to cut through the sun to create the sunburst.
