There has been a project to help keep the sands along this coastline by replanting the grasses and burying old Christmas trees...it has been deemed successful and apparently other areas that have sand dunes have been using this technique too. It is a shame that in the past the natural sea defences that were the dunes had been removed for housing and other modern infrastructures that now seem wrong and out of place.
