9.30 at morning and the sky shows the most amazing colours that I have seen in a while.
It has also been a while that I have been here on this page. January was kind of wild. Fever and accidents, visitors and many days off from the day care. I am back at work, but I enjoy the luxury of working from home.
After seven weeks of "kaamos", the time when the sun does not show up, it has finally come back. Since the first weeks of January it showed up a few seconds per day, and every day a few minutes more. However it will take until the middle of March until we will have a full day of sunlight again. But I do not complain. This is a magical time in regards of light. And coldness.... brrr...
After almost a week -40 to -30 deg C my car does not start anymore and I am stuck at home. A bit annoying but we live in the centre so anyway I can do things by foot.
@jazhirst Thanks Jasmine. It thought the same before I came here for the first time. But I have to say that this year was no problem at all. The light is gorgeous and since I started photographing it seems that this is the only thing that is important to me :))) Starting from April we will have the opposite, no night, just daylight for 24hrs... Thats the time when I can fill up my Vitamin D ressources :) Thanks for your FAV!
Oh, so pretty! And cold, nice! We have some daylight in the south all year round, but it's nice to notice how the day is getting longer :) Summer in the north really is worth the dark times.
Beautiful sunrise! My high school student and I were talking about your climate, contrasting it to ours in the southern U.S. Thanks for telling us about it...
what a beautiful sight. Hope things are calming down for you a bit now. Even when we have longer days with daylight saving we still get plent of darkness. Cant imagine going to sleep at night whilst its still light.
I can't imagine a whole day with no sun! :)
