While on my way home from work this evening, a lone deer crossed the road, then stood for a moment, as if looking for others to join him. No other deer showed up, but it gave me an extra second to get a shot of him.

@pachelbel Thanks, Veronica. What's amazing is that I didn't recognize the beauty of where I live until I started using a camera about a year and a half ago. And now, each day is a quest for beauty, and the realization that's been surrounding me all along.
Exactly! You have much prettier scenery than where I live at the moment, everything is dry and the countryside is pretty much flat. Hopefully Autumn & winter will bring forth some nice landscapes. You are right though, you don't see even half of what surronds you until you look through the lens.
Just thought about this shot today, since while walking László this deer jumped out of the bush right in front of us jsut about 2 m , too late to take a shot but good dog cam back right away after being called once
