I was preoccupied with getting a close-up of an acorn during an early morning walk with my husband. "There's a cardinal," my husband suddenly announces. At that moment, I saw the most close-up unobstructed view of a brilliant red cardinal perched on a branch to my left. The rising sun set him ablaze. Unfortunately, by the time I changed my lens to try to capture him, he disappeared behind the branches and foliage. This was the next best thing.
