My mother used to say that God got it backwards.
That is, why do babies lack the wisdom to appreciate the beauty of their youth?
And then, along with the wisdom that comes with age
Comes also wrinkles and graying hair and declining agility
It seems a cruel misalignment
But, then, what do we know?
Let’s just keep blowing bubbles . . .
