Oh My! You Caught My Eye!

Heterochromia (also known as a heterochromia iridis or heterochromia iridium) is an ocular condition in which one iris is a different color from the other iris (complete heterochromia), or where the part of one iris is a different color from the remainder (partial heterochromia or sectoral heterochromia).
How interesting! Well spotted!

Always eye-catching. Australian coolie (working) dogs have one blue eye and one brown eye.

We see a Huskie with this at the dog park. It must be more common in dogs than other animals.

Oh thank you Kareen. We are in Ireland at the moment. Every year we're there at this season and are visited by a white cat with bi coloured eyes. I never knew it had a name!

@ceilidh @kareenking That's so interesting! I dated a lovely young man during my teen years who had this condition...I had no idea until today there was a name for that!
