Low Lights

Playing around with low light photography....I need to take a course....LOL! or pull out my notes from an old one. Want to depend less on the flash.....
I really like this. A lot of great touches. I'm not sure what you were trying to achieve, but I like this the way it is. I also wonder what would happen if you offset the bottle to one side and less than full height ... and let some of the cloth design fill the rest of the frame.

@dlaxton What I was trying to do was take a picture without the flash...and the room was not brightly lit. I don't want the reflection that glass would give if I used the flash. Actually, I probably had done what you suggested but then I cropped it into more of a central picture....darned ADD! :) Thanks for the suggestion. I have to try new things.

I like the smooth glass against the pattern of the fabric.

@dh @malc Thanks for the comments. I need to get out to some of the camera workshops offered by one of the local camera clubs. I learned alot at a winter evening outdoor shoot they did. Got teamed up with an experienced mentor and learned SOOOO much more than I could read.

@kathyo - hmmm, I looked at it again and just really like the lighting the way it is. I sure know what you mean about reflections though. YES, yes, yes to trying new things! Rock on ...

Nice Kathy. I like the fabric and bottle together. It is great to get feedback from the others and ideas. It is an interesting bottle and you probably could do other shots with it. I don't know how you would do this, but I think seeing only half of the bottle and a totally black background would be neat.
