Not a great picture, but I saw this couple of salmon in a quiet side stream. They weren't spawning yet, but the female (upper) and the male (lower) took turns digging a trough in the rocks in preparation of laying her eggs. Any other salmon that came along were driven away by the male. It was so interesting that I almost forgot to take any pictures.
