Winter Hummingbird

We have Annas Hummingbirds stay year round this part of Vancouver Island. This winter has been particularly rough on them with temperatures down to -11C and colder for almost two weeks. I keep rotating the feeder so that they have nectar when they awake from their evening torpor, but I still feel so bad for these little guys

Poor little fellow :(. Great capture though. I hardly ever see them not in motion.

@teiko @pamknowler Thanks for the comments. This little guy is resting on my honeysuckle bush that is only about 10 ft from the feeder. He can flit back and forth, but spends quite a bit of time resting on the branches.
