Richard, I would love more storms! I imagine they can be dangerous. It was real heavy rain, thunder, lightning, and hail! The real cool thing about the monsoons though is the temperature drop! It went from up over 100 degrees to 80 and seemed almost instanteously!
Not really, a local radio station back when use to give "surfing" reports during the monsoon season, which I thought were jokes, until the newpapers printed picture of a city bus that entered the underpass and all that was showing was the roof of the bus. (all occupants were wet, but otherwise safe) the depth gauges are painted there for a reason.
