The endearing symbol of the U.S. Department of the Interior is the buffalo. A buffalo motif is found throughout the main Interior building in Washington, D.C. This original 1937 door knob, found in the library, is a good illustration.
@mikeswaja@ladymagpie Thank you, Mike and Heather. These door knobs are apparently so attractive that many of them have disappeared from the building. I had to search for this one.
