Duke of Gloucester Street

Duke of Gloucester Street is the principal street in Colonial Williamsburg. Virginia's General Assembly created Williamsburg in 1699. When Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicated the street's reconstruction 235 years later, he called it "the most historic avenue in America." Queen Elizabeth II's visit to Williamsburg in 2007 included a ride down Duke of Gloucester Street in a horse drawn carriage.
I love you explanations of the history.
