Bee on Blue Bugles by khawbecker

Bee on Blue Bugles

Given the state of the world's honey bees, I'm always happy to see them busy in the flower beds. Perhaps this is a White House bee and should have its own Secret Service detail for protection.

I captured this picture in the midst of a bed of blue bugle flowers in front of my office building. At least, I think they're bugle flowers. Let me know if you know for sure. Their name makes for a lovely tongue twister.

Our temperatures here hit the 90s today for the first time this year and this evening we have delightful rolling thunder.
Beautiful! I feel the same way about bees.

Pretty capture and good detail with the bee. I don't think it's a White House Bee as it would have your Stars & Stripes in front of it.

@virtualbrownie Thank you. :) I don't know how far bees from a hive travel to collect pollen, but these flowers are only two blocks from the White House hives, so it's possible this is a White House bee. Ha.
