Virginia Dogwood Berries by khawbecker

Virginia Dogwood Berries

As we turn toward Autumn, the berries on the Dogwood trees are ripening and will ultimately become bright red. Once ripe, the birds love to feast on them.
Dogwoods are my favorite flowering tree. Someday I hope to plant one in my yard- maybe two as I like both the red and white versions! Pretty shot!

@olivetreeann Thanks, Ann. :) I love them too. They get all of the attention in the Spring while flowering, but I think they're beautiful in the Autumn too. Definitely get a couple for your yard.

@davydo Thanks, Dave. They do have that white and red multi-color to them right now. They will eventually turn fully bright red.
