A Sparrow's Breakfast by khawbecker

A Sparrow's Breakfast

As I walked to my office, I unwittingly disturbed a flock of sparrows who were breakfasting on a patch of spent Black-eyed Susans. Most of the birds flew away as I approached, but this one would not be deterred from its breakfast. I had just enough time to take out my camera and snap three photos before the bird took flight. This photo was the best of the three.
And it's a beauty Karen! Couldn't have been better if the bird posed for you! I like the contrast of the black-eyed susan pods against the sparrow's lighter body. They frame it well.

@tristansmum Thanks, Stephanie. I was happy to get this photo. A few days later, they cut down these browned out flowers. Too bad, because the birds were feasting on them. Thanks for the fav too!
