The DC metro area usually has the jet stream going right overhead. This means that, on occasion when it swings north, we get warm air from the Gulf of Mexico in the winter. Today was such a day. Temperatures shot up into the 60s (Fahrenheit). I went for a walk at the park in my shirtsleeves and the air was so fresh. Winter will return tomorrow.
