No, definitely not a house finch, but a thrush I think....I lean towards the Hermit Thrush as it doesn't have a line to its eye like the Swainson's Thrush does. Wonderful capture.
@lynnb Oooo! Thanks! I just looked at some photos of the Hermit Thrush and compared some pictures I have from the back and the tail is the right colour for the Hermit Thrush. That's a new bird for me. I moved here to BC in 2012 and am relatively new to birding.
I saw in another of your posts that you are from Scarborough, I was born there and moved back to New Brunswick when I was four. Maybe we used to be neighbours!
@kimmer50 It's a small world! I lived in Highland Creek, in Scarborough...near Meadowvale Rd. Then when I was married the first time I lived in New Brunswick...Jacquet River, Belledune and Grand Falls.
