Ewww..... the one thing I hated about living in Australia! I remember coming around a bend on a path in the Whitsundays and the hairs on the back of my neck went up. I stopped and scanned and then spotted the spider the size of a dinner plate at head height in front of me. I went the other way!!

Uurggh....! We saw on the BBC these videos of mobbing spiders trying to escape the floods - I've never been so freaked.
