Yes, that's exactly what I mean! Isn't it great having such tools (camera, lens, software) to be able to zoom in that far and isolating really small items, even without a macro lens?! It was absolutely impossible with my first 300D about 7 years ago. And nowadays this is not the limit; with a professional full frame camera and professional lens you can get even better results. But for us as amateurs I think it's so great to show people photos of items they haven't seen with their own eyes before. I mean: look these small seeds, very sharp, isolated by crop and by DOF so well. I bet noboby passing by these flowers will have this! And ofcourse it's not necessary to crop that far each time, but it's good to know what is possible with your camera. And here the advantage of a DSLR: a compact camera usually can come much closer to flower etc, but they don't have manual focus, so you will never get these results. Fav.
