I was already digging all the reds in this scene, then lady with a red scarf and a red purse walked into the middle of it!
Today would have been a good hole-up-at-home day, but Lawrence's work was having a baby shower for Dexter, so I had to bundle up all three kids and venture downtown in the blizzard. Afterward, I got to go Christmas craft fair shopping with my aunt, so it was a good day all around. And now I'm cozy at home with the fireplace and a glass of wine...
Love everything about this Kristin, so let me be the first one to FAV it!! I agree with you, the reds are stunning against that white background that is enveloping everything, and your eye moves from the ceiling structure to the Dim Sum poster to her scarf and purse, and right back up again!
Kristin, we are get-pushed partners next week. I've looked through your album and didn't see any tries at water drops so I want to challenge you to shoot a water drop. This takes a lot of shots to get your timing down. Easiest way I have found is put a colorful piece of paper under a clear pan. Fill pan with water. Use a screw or something in the water you can focus on, focus and switch to Manual focus, then try dropping the water in that same spot and hitting the camera shutter or remote release at the same time. Some people use off-camera flash but I seemed to have better luck with on-camera flash. Good luck and have fun.
