Yesterday I showed you the outside of the oldest church in Russia and today you can see the inside. This place was much smaller than the other churches we visited and very crowded! It's the resting place of the Russian rulers so there were tombs everywhere - it looked like giant stone coffins. The ceiling and chandeliers were a highlight for me.
It's clearly a stunning place. Now that you mentioned this, it must be the location depicted in the film "The Death of Stalin", which was both hilarious and chilling at the same time.
this looks a little less heavy than some of the other places you went to. Well done for managing to avoid including the crowds in your capture and showing this ornate ceiling off so well.
