My husband went grocery shopping and came home with tulips for me. He's so sweet!! This is the only photo I took today!! We booked a 10 day trip to Scotland so I spent the whole day researching. If you have any tips, let me know. We go Sept. 20-30th.
What a nice surprise - they will last for a while. So many places in Scotland - Isle of Skye is a must, cruise the Caledonian Canal to Inverness. Oban if you want to discover the west coast and the offshore islands.
Pretty good time to visit, I reckon ... As Maggiemae says ... lots of places to visit in Scotland, although the west coast is probably the most popular. However, I have a French friend coming over for 10 days later this month ... she's arriving in Edinburgh, training up to Inverness, driving over to Ullapool and then up north and along the far northern coast to Thurso. Then she takes the ferry to Orkney and ultimately returns to Edinburgh via the north and then the east coast. She plans to return to 'do' the west on a later trip. So many options, but if you have any specific questions, please do ask! And if you're anywhere near Ballater in Deeside, we could meet for a coffee!!! Lovely tulips from you hubby, by the way!
Yes @jamibann knows what she’s talking about! September is a great time to go, you will miss the midges! 😍. We love the west coast, road to the Isles & all that but I’m sure you are a very good planner!
