Craigievar Castle

This castle was my favourite of all the Scottish Castles we saw. I just love its shape and colour! He was closed the day we visited so I didn't get to go inside. So disappointing!! This castle is unique in that it has no artificial lighting beyond the first floor!

It looks so compact. But then when I look at the front door I can imagine just how enormous it must be. Very interesting architecture. Looks like a castle out of a fairytale. Great shot!

Fav. Looks so beautiful. Pity you couldn't visit. Same thing happened to me yesterday - Max had no school and I decided to take him to see the Inquisitor's Palace. After all the explanations I gave him on the history of the castle and the inquisition we found that the place is closed on Mondays.
