Leavenworth Christmas Lighting Festival

Welp we drove all the way to Leavenworth the little Bavarian town about 2.5 hours away. It was a fine drive there, and the town is absolutely beautiful but it was COLD, and snowy and I wasn't quite ready for that. I'm still not used to what it means to drive though a mountain pass in winter and I didn't realize that Leavenworth would have so much more snow than Seattle. The lights were very pretty and I'm glad that I experienced it once but I doubt I'll come back. Mostly because of the hell that was the mass exodus at the end of the day. It took us almost two hours just to get out of town and because of the horrible conditions on the road on the mountain pass at night what should have been a 2.5 hour drive took us almost 5 hours!! The trip wasn't worth that. But to look on the bright side - I had an entire day spent with Rich going on an adventure to a new place and a new experience... I wasn't in the greatest mood trying to get home, but I'll look back on the day fondly I'm sure.
