I hate leaf blowers, especially when they are gas-operated and terribly loud.
But after all they don't use leaf vacs, which I hate so much more because they kill a lot of small animals like beetles, young hedgehogs and so on :'(
Opposite to our house, there's a meadow with some hedges, kept in order by landscape gardeners. They also use ride-on lawn mowers and string trimmers, which make much noise, too. The cats hate those days (me too)

@lellie Ah, you know what I mean, thank you :) We put the green waste under the hedge and make some piles of leaves in autumn. In springtime, we enjoy to have hedgehog families in the garden. Our garden doesn't look so presentable like in the neighborhood, but I don't care.

I agree entirely with your ideas Kerstin - we belong to the "Land for Wildlife" organization and they have a motto - "avoid the urge to tidy up!" It's so true. :)
