Cape Cod is a peninsula turned into a man made island when the Cape Cod Canal was built in 1916. Now the only way on or off is by crossing one of two bridges over the canal. I did not want to leave Vermont today and return to my real life, but the sight of the Sagamore Bridge lit up by the sunset behind me made me happy to be home. Not the best photo, but it was a long day of packing and travel...I will catch up here soon...
Beautiful shot! Whenever I see the bridges, I know were home. I've somehow never managed to get a good shot of them, though. It's funny... when I was a kid, crossing the bridge was such a big deal because it meant you were going REALLY far.
Wow, the bridge looks awesome in that light! Super shot! Nice to be home on one hand but so nice to have visited with your folks, too bad it had to end.
