This photo struck me as a perfect symbol of my perfect, imperfect life. I cut off the guitar, the pillow is crumpled, the couch has pills from the cat, I never got around to buying herbs for the greenhouse, the dog's ear is flipped backwards and I just love it all because it is just so honestly our life.
Steve likes to share a few bites of ice cream with Sadie. Last night the flavor was coffee and he swears it had no bearing on the fact that she ran around like a maniac for an hour afterwards. I beg to differ.

I love your perfectly imperfect life! Don't we all have one! And your greenhouse is so cool! I have never played scrabble in my life, but have just recently become addicted to "words with friends" which is pretty much scrabble on my phone or facebook. I have 5 games going at once and I love it!

@ptowncook It is a veyr swell life, Laura. I should have titled this "Celebrating the Ordinary." The house structure is a greenhouse I bought in Vermont last summer. I meant to fill it with herbs, but never got around to it. Story of my life.

This is a perfect slice of life photo. Has all your favorite things....books, music, Steve, and Sadie. I like the soft warm lighting. On another note, I'm coming to the Cape on Tuesday and staying at least through the next weekend. We just HAVE to get together this time. I will call you so we can set up a photo date.
