This would be my direction to Mother Nature and my photo for the word "direction" in the June Word Challenge...plus this is a perfect reflection of my day. My manic Monday deadline day was interrupted by multiple requests from kids for rides. It felt like I drove around in circles all day (because I did) in cold rainy weather. I actually have a fire in the fireplace...on June 4 - new record.
ha! Good one! We are getting "a lot" of rain here too! Not enough though...so I can not say " stop" to it just yet! Hard to get pics though! a fire?! Wow. But it was fairly" cool" here today too!
I feel your pain sista.... Rained most of today here too, and will be raining when we go on a field trip to the zoo tomorrow. Hope you can get your lazy arsed kids to walk tomorrow and give you a break... LOL
I like this - really conveys a mood and nice entry for the challenge. I sometimes feel like I could put "taxi driver" down as a my career when I take my two to ballet, tap, swimming, baksetball, playdates etc etc........ Sorry to hear that you are having a cold snap. We are too, but we have just hit winter and are meant to be!!
This is a FAV for me! It's a great reminder for me to remember to STOP and appreciate everything I have! I hope you stay warm by the fire and get your deadlines met! Hugs to you dear sweet LH! :-)
Great shot! We had a terrible wind and rainstorm yesterday too! Our electricity actually went out for a couple of hours and the dog and cat went nuts!!
Laurie - the weather is driving me crazy! We've had to reschedule 3 of our end-of-the-year activities until next week due to the weather - what a crazy spring! I've turned the heat back on, too - who would be that we're turning on the heat in June!
This captures the feel of the weather perfectly, Laurie! I might have you and Joyce both beat -- I had the heat on AND the fireplace going tonight. Enough already!
Great photo and sentiment. The weatherman said we are having record low temps in various places all over New England. I was just outside with my dog and I could see my breath in the night air. I have put the extra blankets back on our bed.
@sparkleplenty1@numinee@tesnonian Hi Joyce, Sally and Sharon! I have a fire again tonight, but I'd have to say Sally wins the craving warmth challenge. Last weekend my husband groused because I didn't have time to do the season changeover of clothes. The boxes of summer clothes are still in our bedroom unpacked and I haven't put away the sweaters. How happy am I about that right now?
