And very reluctant subject who would not stop walking so I could get a good shot. So you get a candid. Today was the opening of oyster season in Brewster. After a dreary and rainy morning, the sun burst out right at low tide. Perfect timing!
The lone oysterman on the beach! It really turned out to be a lovely day after all the rain. My brother goes oystering, I think down in Wellfleet - I know he was complaining about the increase in the license fee a few years back! It's a tradition for him to make oyster stew every New Year's Day - he's quite the cook!
Hi Laurie, I am loving your album with its beautiful nature and landscape shots, and poignant candid portraits! For get pushed week 13, I challenge you to capture a cityscape or architectural shot.
@webfoot Yes, the rake is for both oysters and clams, but my husband doesn't like the design of this one very much. The little basket gets in the way. His favorite rake broke recently, so he's going to need a new one.
Nice candid portrait. I see he was successful as he has stuff in his pail. I do see his point about the rake. Most of the ones I've seen growing up were about 2 to 3 times bigger than his current one.
