Last Color

I spent most of the day taking photos of all the different steps to make homemade turkey stock, from carcass to soup for a food story I'm working on. It was a tricky photo shoot because it was gloomy all day. So I just had a few minutes on my way to the dentist to shoot some autumn color. It's really hard to get foliage shots on the Cape because the trees are so dense. I kind of liked the way the two trunks framed this bright tree. Hoping for sunshine tomorrow...
Lovely.

looks a nice place to wander - green grass and golden trees!

Beautiful fall colors nicely captured. Ours are gone. Most of the trees lost their leaves this last week end.

Definitely a nicely framed shot. Hard to tell from this shot that it was so gloomy

@maggiemae You wouldn't be able to wander far. This is a lot on Main Street in the business district in my town, sandwiched between a gift shop and the Catholic Church. This same lot is covered by thousands of daffodils in the spring (a shot I took in April both this year and last).

Beautiful colors. I know how hard it is to find fall foliage on Cape too. Nice catch.

You did well with this one Laurie. It is composed nicely with a nice mix of textures, shapes and colors.

I'm glad to see there's still some color up there. We're headed up this weekend, and I feel like the Cape is so gloomy in the late fall/early winter.
