Snow on Snow Fencing by lauriehiggins

Snow on Snow Fencing

We're in the middle of a pretty bad blizzard right now. The wind is howling and the lights are flickering. Our Governor banned all driving after 4 p.m. today with a penalty of a $500 fine and a year in jail if caught on the road. I don't remember that ever happening before. That said, I couldn't get out for a photo today so this is from earlier in the week. Tomorrow we are supposed to have a crazy high tide at 10 a.m., so I'm hoping all the snow fencing I love to photograph does it job and limits erosion.
It is a crazy storm. Hope you don't lose power. We are out next to Worcester.
Great shot!

Stay safe, Laurie! We've got about 8.5 inches here in northern NJ, with more on the way, but you guys are supposed to get 3 times that much, if not more. Take care!

My friend in Sandwich lost power a couple of hours ago. I'm glad that snow here doesn't knock out our power, or we'd be in big trouble. I like the imagery here.

What do they do for those who work in hospitals, and nursing homes? Do they provide transportation to relieve those who are stuck on their jobs?

So beautiful. Thanks.

This is such a beautiful photo. Looks like you had more snow up there earlier in the week than we did. Fortunately the ground was clear before the huge storm. I hope you still have power. I know they are out in Provincetown and Truro. I have power but may never get out of my driveway again!

Beautiful! How did you guys fare in the storm? We got about 2.5 ft and didn't get plowed out until late this morning.

Pretty arbitrary to just throw down that ban like that isn't it? I like your B&W treatment of this.

Wow! moody shot. Hope all is well! What an unbelievable storm!

I'm quite surprised to be the first to fav this. It's a beautifully dramatic, well composed landscape, with, of course, your crazy fencing that I love.

Interesting shot Laurie. I love the fence. I have a friend at Cape Cod that photographs very similar fences.
