We're in the middle of a pretty bad blizzard right now. The wind is howling and the lights are flickering. Our Governor banned all driving after 4 p.m. today with a penalty of a $500 fine and a year in jail if caught on the road. I don't remember that ever happening before. That said, I couldn't get out for a photo today so this is from earlier in the week. Tomorrow we are supposed to have a crazy high tide at 10 a.m., so I'm hoping all the snow fencing I love to photograph does it job and limits erosion.
Stay safe, Laurie! We've got about 8.5 inches here in northern NJ, with more on the way, but you guys are supposed to get 3 times that much, if not more. Take care!
My friend in Sandwich lost power a couple of hours ago. I'm glad that snow here doesn't knock out our power, or we'd be in big trouble. I like the imagery here.
This is such a beautiful photo. Looks like you had more snow up there earlier in the week than we did. Fortunately the ground was clear before the huge storm. I hope you still have power. I know they are out in Provincetown and Truro. I have power but may never get out of my driveway again!
I'm quite surprised to be the first to fav this. It's a beautifully dramatic, well composed landscape, with, of course, your crazy fencing that I love.
Great shot!
i have never heard of being fined for being out on the road. a
hope this storm is not too terrible,
