The top right photo Mother bird was away and baby was right at the back of the nest, the bottom right was taken past mum's head and on the left is mother blocking my view, baby is the greyish white blur at the back of the nest. I love these birds.
I am going on leave next week, away for just over two weeks and will so much of this baby bird's growth, I am really hoping it hasn't lost it's baby fuzz and flown the nest before I get back. I have seen photos of the babies where they have their parents eye markings and I am hoping to see and get a snap of that.
It's amazing to think that weird looking little thing in the inset photos turns out looking like the adult on the left. Great photos, tops work on the follow up :)
@bella_ss she nests right outside one of our accommodation blocks every year (so I am told) and doesn't seem to be too worried when people come by and check on the baby - we all keep a little distance (thank goodness for big zooms!) and she sits there looking pretty contented
