Nankeen Kestrel was hunting in the carpark below my balcony this morning as I got ready for work. I've decided I'll have a later start today.
I used to curse the lightpoles for blocking the view, but now they have become a wonderful posing pedestal for the resident kestrels
@jenrobcarr I am gong to miss this view when I finish up here @renelou thanks - I am surprised at how much I enjoy watching the daily lives of these birds @timandelke the lightpole has become a character in my photos. I think it was alargish locust which he was munching on @hagscat thanks I hope ther ewill be plenty more to come too @zram49 I love contrasting nature and technology, I have done some sunsets through steel grids of cranes and heaving lifting equipment in the past @bella_ss I thought it looked big too, the kestrels are smallish birds of prey, but it still a large locust/grasshopper @alia_801 I shot a couple of dozen shots but this beak open one really appealed to me, really looked like he was expressing himself
